Dr. Sonia Hammache is a Technology Manager in the Conversion Program for the Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). She oversees a variety of projects with a focus on thermochemical conversion technologies and catalysis for conversion of bio-based sources into energy and valuable chemicals. Prior to joining BETO, she was a senior research scientist focusing on catalysis for energy applications and carbon capture. Dr. Hammache received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in Algeria.
