FCIC Capabilities and Facilities

The Feedstock-Conversion Interface Consortium (FCIC) employs several tools, models, facilities, and techniques to help researchers and industry overcome the obstacles of feedstock variability, characterization, preprocessing, conversion, techno-economic analysis, and more.

Capabilities and Facilities

Biomass Resources and Feedstock Characterization

Image

Providing a library of physical samples and standardized lab techniques to characterize feedstocks and generate high-quality data for storage, processing, conversion, and yield.

Biomass Preprocessing, Material Handling, and Wear

Developing tools for biomass preprocessing, flow modeling, and wear analysis using capabilities of multiple national laboratory partners.

Conversion
