December 11, 2019The U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) published a notice of intent to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) titled "FY20 Bioenergy Technologies Multi-Topic FOA." The FOA will support high-impact technology research and development (R&D) to enable expansion of the U.S. bioeconomy. This FOA will include the highest priority R&D areas from all five BETO Programs:
- Advanced Algal Systems
- Feedstock Supply and Logistics
- Conversion
- Advanced Development and Optimization
- Strategic Analysis and Crosscutting Sustainability
The FOA supports BETO’s objectives to reduce the minimum fuel selling price of drop-in biofuels, lower the cost of biopower, and enable high-value products from biomass or waste resources.
