Assessment of Shutdown Facility Risk Management at the Savannah River Site
The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environment, Safety and Health Assessments, within the independent Office of Enterprise Assessments, conducted an assessment of shutdown facility risk management at the Savannah River Site. This assessment evaluated the effectiveness of the site management and operations contractor, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, in managing the risk associated with permanently shutdown facilities through timely surveillances and appropriate maintenance activities.
