On July 10, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement issued Preliminary Notices of Violation (WEA-2024-03) to Whittaker Construction & Excavating, Inc. and subcontractor Harris Rebar Placing, LLC (WEA-2024-04), for violations of DOE’s 10 C.F.R. Part 851Worker Safety and Health Program requirements related to a serious fall injury at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
