On May 24, 2023, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation NEA-2023-01 to Triad National Security, LLC for violations of the Department of Energy’s nuclear safety program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 830), associated with a series of nuclear safety events that occurred at the Plutonium Facility between February and July 2021, at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
