On January 9, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2024-01) to Stanford University, for violations of DOE’s Worker Safety and Health Program requirements (10 C.F.R. 851) associated with a high-voltage electrical shock injury event at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.
