On June 1, 2010, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2010-03) to Sandia Corporation for violations of 10 C.F.R. 851 associated with the premature ignition of a rocket motor mounted on a sled track that injured a worker at the Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico site on October 9, 2008. This Fact Sheet provides information related to a Preliminary Notice of Violation issued by the National Nuclear Security Administration to Sandia Corporation on June 1, 2010, for violations of 10 C.F.R. 851 associated with an October 9, 2008, incident in which a worker was injured when rocket motor mounted on a sled track ignited prematurely.
