On July 30, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement notified Central Plateau Cleanup Company, of its intent to investigate potential noncompliances with DOE nuclear and worker safety program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 820 and Part 851) related to an inoperable safety significant fire suppression system at the Hanford site.
