Inspection of Emergency Management at the Savannah River Site
This report provides the results of an independent oversight inspection of emergency management at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Savannah River Site. The inspection was conducted in August and September 2009 by the Office of Independent Oversight’s Office of Emergency Management Oversight, within the DOE Office of Health, Safety and Security. The inspection was performed concurrently with inspections of the nuclear safety program at several site facilities and the site's environment, safety, and health program that were conducted by Independent Oversight’s Office of Environment, Safety and Health Evaluations. The results of those inspections are discussed in separate reports.
