Assessment of Work Planning and Control at the Savannah River Site Salt Waste Processing Facility

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Worker Safety and Health Assessments, within the independent Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA), conducted an assessment of the work planning and control (WP&C) program at the Savannah River Site Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF).  This assessment was conducted within the broader context of a series of targeted assessments of WP&C at sites across the DOE complex.  EA also examined contractor assurance system oversight activities, as well as DOE SWPF Project Office (SWPFPO) oversight of WP&C at SWPF.  Parsons is under contract with DOE to design, construct, and commission and operate for one year the SWPF, and SWPFPO, an office within the DOE Savannah River Operations Office, provides Federal oversight.
