Assessment of the Fire Protection Program Implementation at Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Nuclear Safety and Environmental Assessments, within the independent Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA), conducted an assessment of the Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico fire protection program as implemented at the Microsystems and Engineering Sciences Applications MicroFab 858EF Building, which is operated by National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC (NTESS). The responsible National Nuclear Security Administration Sandia Field Office requested that EA specifically review the NTESS fire protection program in the non-nuclear MESA MicroFab 858EF Building since its fire safety resources were focused on the safety of the nuclear facilities.
