On July 9, 2014, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Independent Enterprise Assessment’s Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter (WEL-2014-04) to Wise Services, Inc.(Wise Services) related to a track hoe operated by a Wise Services employee that struck a fiber optics line at the DOE Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant on November 8, 2012.
