On August 12, 2004, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a nuclear safety Enforcement Letter to Kaiser-Hill Company, LLC relating to an unauthorized breach of the Building 771 water treatment system and a foam fire in Building 991 at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site.
