On August 31, 2016, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter (NEL-2016-01) to Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC expressing concerns about an unplanned airborne release and worker uptakes of radiological material that occurred at DOE’s Idaho National Laboratory.
