Emergency Management Exercise Program Assessment at the Nevada National Security Site
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Emergency Management Assessments, within the independent Office of Enterprise Assessments, conducted an assessment of the emergency management exercise program, a subcomponent of the readiness assurance program, at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). The assessment appraised the effectiveness of the NNSS emergency management program by evaluating its readiness to respond to emergencies and to effectively identify and correct program weaknesses. This assessment was conducted within the broader context of a series of assessments of emergency management exercise programs at DOE complex sites.
