The Arctic Energy Office brings together assets from across the Department of Energy in collaborative and innovative ways to meet the energy, science, and national security needs of the United States and its allies in the Arctic. The Arctic Energy Office coordinates efforts across the agency and our National Laboratories to ensure a unified voice on all Arctic issues.

    Arctic Energy Ambassadors

    The Arctic Energy Ambassadors program provides training and support for 12 experienced practitioners from Alaska to boost energy security and community engagement in collaboration with the Department of Energy, Denali Commission, and Alaska Municipal League. The Ambassadors were selected in January 2024 for a two-year term, during which they are developing place-based collaborative energy leadership, connecting resources and sharing knowledge.
