SWPA celebrates national hydropower day
Southwestern Power Administration hydro powers customers in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas with clean, renewable, and reliable hydroelectric power. This year, we celebrate National Hydropower Day on August 24, 2024, and embrace the theme “Hydro Powers” to mark the many ways Southwestern contributes on a National level.

Southwestern has been recognized for its safe operating practices with the Safety Award of Excellence from the American Public Power Association (APPA), an honor for which over 150 utilities were in the running.
