The U.S. Department of Energy is pleased to announce that Advanced Waste Management Systems Inc.  (AWM) is now a fully accredited Verification Body for Superior Energy Performance™ (SEP). This ANSI-ANAB accreditation enables AWM to provide third-party verification for industrial facilities that wish to demonstrate energy management excellence and sustained energy savings to earn SEP certification. “Adding Superior Energy Performance verification to our services underscores AWM’s commitment to helping customers obtain the market recognition they earn by raising the bar for energy management,” said Rob Ellis, AWM’s President, Sustainability. “Our auditing teams provide robust, independent confirmation that a facility conforms to ISO 50001 and has really improved its energy performance.” SEP Verification Bodies determine whether a facility meets the SEP certification requirements based on a two-stage audit process. ANSI-ANAB is the only accreditation body that approves SEP Verification Bodies. Conformity assessment bodies interested in learning more about the ANSI-ANAB SEP accreditation process are encouraged to visit www.energyaccreditation.org.
