The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice of receipt of an application filed on March 18, 2014, by Clean Energy, requesting blanket authorization to engage in short-term imports and exports of up to 100 bcf of LNG gas. The authorization requested is for a two-year period commencing on the day the requested authorization is granted. Clean Energy requests that such authorization allow it to import and export, via truck, rail, barge or other waterborne vessel both previously imported and domestically sourced LNG from and to Canada, Mexico, and any other country with which the United States currently has, or in the future will have, a FTA.
