On March 31, 2011, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Health, Safety and Security’s Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter (NEL-2011-01) to LATA Environmental Services of Kentucky, LLC related to quality assurance deficiencies associated with decontamination and decommissioning activities on or near uranium hexafluoride and hydrofluoric acid lines at DOE's Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
