On December 16, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a joint report which provides the public with information on activities and engagements under the Joint Memorandum on Interagency Communication and Consultation on Electric Reliability to date. The Memorandum provides a framework for both agencies to support reliable electric service as they carry out their respective missions and authorities. The Summary Report highlights how these activities have strengthened communication and collaboration on electric system reliability within and outside of the Federal government and reaffirms Federal commitment to transparency and continued engagement on this important topic.
