On December 12, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement notified, National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC of its intent to investigate potential noncompliances with DOE nuclear safety program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 820) related to the unplanned worker doses resulting from an experimental tritium shot at the Z-Machine.
