Former Special Assistant, Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs
Karly Toledo was the Special Assistant for the Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs. She is a Diné Asdzáán, a member of the Navajo Nation and budding narrative and culture change strategist. She is Edgewater born for Mud and a graduate of Smith College with a B.A. in Government and minor in Economics. Karly is an experienced political organizer with a demonstrated history of working in congressional and Native-led nonprofit organizations. Her previous experience includes serving in Senator Elizabeth Warren’s Senate office as a constituent services intern and a participant in the Native American Political Leadership Program at The George Washington University. Born and raised in Northern Utah, Karly has a deep love and respect of the natural world and is deeply honored to work with the Office of Indian Energy to support Native communities continue to build and uphold their tribal sovereignty.
