The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) leaders participated in several panel discussions at S&P’s Global CERAWeek 2024 in Houston, TX. CERAWeek 2024 explored strategies for a multidimensional, multispeed and multifuel energy transition. Thought leaders, policymakers, and executives from across energy, finance, technology, and governments convened for dialogue, shared learnings, and connectivity. FECM’s leadership led by FECM Assistant Secretary Brad Crabtree; Senior Advisor Noah Deich; and Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Resource Sustainability Ryan Peay, were front and center of many of the most important conversations on the role of carbon management in delivering net zero, on how we can develop domestic critical minerals supply chains, and on reducing emissions of oil and gas operations through methane mitigation  FECM’s portfolio has never been more relevant.
