FY 2023 NNSA Small Business Scorecard Results: $5.3 Billion total combined
The DOE Office of Small Business & Disadvantaged Business Utilization announced that DOE, including NNSA, has earned an “A” grade from the U.S. Small Business Administration for our FY2023 Small Business achievements.

On April 24, 2024, Chelsea Murphy, Small Business Source Manager, on behalf of the NNSA Small Business Program, spoke to the small businesses in attendance at this annual event hosted by the Energy, Technology and Environmental Business Association in Santa Fe, NM.

On April 10, 2024, at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA, Ron Pierce, Director, DOE Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization, William “BJ” Quigley, NNSA Senior Procurement Executive, and Gary Lyttek, NNSA Senior Business Resource Manager, participated in a Fireside Chat sponsored by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition. The discussion centered on Procurement Opportunities at DOE for Veteran-Owned Small Business and the unique structure and organization of DOE/NNSA. After the discussion, the participants answered questions from some of the 150+ registrants

On March 13, 2024, BJ Quigley and Gary Lyttek, Senior Business Source Manager, represented NNSA's Partnership and Acquisition Services on a panel at the Waste Management Conference in Phoenix, AZ. The panel was titled, “U.S. DOE NNSA Procurement Activities,” and included some representatives from NNSA’s M&O partners. The panelists provided an overview of NNSA’s small business initiatives and contracting opportunities. They spoke about changes within NNSA, upcoming procurement opportunities, and successful procurement techniques and methods applied, including challenges and lessons learned on pre- and post-contract awards. The Conference was attended by over 3,300 attendees from more than 30 countries, and the procurement panel was positively received by the attendees.
