On Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. ET, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office (GDO) held an informational webinar focused on the Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant application processes and the fiscal year 2024 (FY24) Administrative and Legal Requirements Document (ALRD).
On January 18, 2024, GDO released the Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant FY24 ALRD to open the allocation request and application period. Applicants have until June 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET to apply or request allocations.
Supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and administered by GDO, these grants help modernize the electric grid to reduce the impacts of climate-driven extreme weather and natural disasters while also ensuring the reliability of the power sector. As of April 2024, DOE has awarded a total of more than $802 million in FY22/23 grants to 52 participating states and territories and 174 tribal entities.
