Description/Duties:

The Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) is looking to hire a Technology Manager to be part of VTO’s Electrification team. Technology Managers support the research, development, and demonstration of high-impact technologies and solutions that enable the reliable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective integration of sustainable transportation for our nation. At the GS-13 level, the Technology Manager will serve as a technical expert in vehicle charging technologies, vehicle-grid integration, electric-drive systems, powertrain and other related technologies. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required to Perform the Work/Specialized Experience:

  • Conducting research and studies to determine and recommend appropriate solutions to issues, interpret designs, and evaluate adequacy; 
  • Conducting projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints; and 
  • Developing and utilizing data collection techniques to assess project and program effectiveness.

Additional Details:

Occasional multi-day travel will be required. Financial disclosure is required, and incumbent may be required to pass a background investigation.
