Former Chief of Staff, Office of Nuclear Energy
Rory was Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy. Mr. Stanley joined us from his previous position as a senior professional staff member at the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.In 2009, Mr. Stanley received a B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington. He holds Masters degrees from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in International Policy, Nonproliferation, and Terrorism Studies and from the Naval War College in Strategy, Operations, and Military History. Rory has demonstrated his passion and commitment to the nuclear energy mission in almost a decade of service in the US Senate. In that time, he negotiated key nuclear energy provisions in landmark legislation such as the Energy Act of 2020, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act.
