The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office's (BETO) Feedstock-Conversion Interface Consortium (FCIC) is overseeing a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) call to help industry and academic partners leverage the capabilities of the FCIC.

This funding opportunity will provide resources to collaborate with FCIC researchers to address the negative cost and risk impacts of feedstock and process variability across the bioenergy and bioproducts value chain. Research areas may include feedstock supply, handling, transport, preprocessing, and initial chemical conversion. Proposals should clearly address BETO goals of supporting sustainable aviation fuels, decarbonization of various industrial sectors, and development of sustainable bio-based products.

This opportunity will fund competitively selected CRADAs between FCIC partner laboratories and partners from industry and academia. No less than $2 million will be available for this CRADA call and up to four projects will be selected with a project duration of up to three years.

The deadline to submit an intent to propose is April 14, 2023, and final proposals will be due May 5, 2023. For more information on how to apply, please visit the FCIC website or register to attend an informational webinar.
