Gilly Plog oversees the Home Energy Score, the Better Buildings Residential Network, and Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Building Technologies Office (BTO).
Before joining BTO, Plog worked with DOE’s State Energy Program as a federal project officer and as an ORISE Fellow. She also spearheaded the creation of environmental and energy-saving programs in the small mountain town of Frisco, Colorado.
Plog holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and a master's degree in marine and environmental policy, both from the University of Washington. She has also been recognized by DOE’s Emerging Leaders Program and has completed the Excellence in Government Fellowship program through the Partnership for Public Service.
