On December 15, 2022, the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Enterprise Assessment’s Office of Enforcement entered into a negotiated settlement by Consent Order (WCO-2022-03) with the Regents of the University of California, to resolve worker safety and health issues that were identified during an investigation pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 851.40, Investigations and inspections, associated with five significant safety events that occurred at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
