Public comments on the draft DOE National Clean Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap can be submitted via email to [email protected] through December 1, 2022. The document was posted on the DOE website on September 22, 2022, after U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm announced its release—with an invitation for public input—at the Global Clean Energy Action Forum in Pittsburgh.

The Strategy and Roadmap provides a comprehensive overview of the potential for hydrogen production, transport, storage, and use in the United States and outlines how clean hydrogen can contribute to national decarbonization and economic development goals.

This draft report responds to requirements of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). DOE may also solicit stakeholder feedback through additional opportunities, such as workshops and listening sessions. Feedback will be used to finalize the report and develop updates as required by the BIL.

There will also be future opportunities for stakeholder feedback as the report will be updated at least every 3 years as required in the BIL.
