DOE Procedures for Administrative Adjudication of Civil Penalty Actions

Title III, section 6303(d), of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (42 U.S.C. § 6303(d)) provides an opportunity for an on-the-record hearing before an Administrative Law Judge.  These hearings are for parties issued a civil penalty notice for violations of DOE’s conservation standards and certification requirements.

DOE hereby announces its procedures for administrative adjudication of civil penalty actions.
