On March 16, 2022, DOE issued Order No. 4799 to Cheniere Marketing, LLC (Cheniere Marketing) and Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL and, collectively with Cheniere Marketing, CMI) under Section 3(a) of the Natural Gas Act. This Order authorizes CMI to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) to any country with which the United States has not entered into a free trade agreement (FTA) requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas, and with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy (non-FTA countries). A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) was also issued in this Order.
