Arjun Krishnaswami

Arjun Krishnaswami was the Special Advisor to the Chief of Staff to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to DOE, Krishnaswami was most recently the Climate Policy Lead for Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where he worked to advance strong federal policy to build a just and equitable economy, promote clean energy innovation, and address the climate crisis. He also used modeling and analysis tools to study the effects of federal and state climate policies and chart pathways to decarbonize energy use while advancing equity and creating economic opportunities for all. Krishnaswami previously served on the policy team for the Biden-Harris transition team. He holds an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
