This report provides the results of the Safety Culture Improvement Panel (SCIP) Contract Language Working Group (CLWG) review of safety culture language in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) site contracts in 2020.
The purpose of this review was to evaluate the existing safety culture language in contracts, along with DOE directives and supporting documents on safety culture, to determine a best practice for contract language to promote safety culture across the DOE and National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) complex.
