As a lifetime resident of Butte County, I was honored and excited to be chosen to serve on the CAB. I came on the board prior to the incident at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plan and have watched the extensive struggles to get that facility up and running again.

Aquifer protection is one of the most critical areas of interest for me. DOE-ID provides access to outstanding individuals who present in-depth and informative materials for the CAB and the public in reference to the Snake River Plain Aquifer and numerous other issues.

I believe the CAB is a vital resource for the various communities the Idaho Cleanup Project impacts. The interaction between the CAB members and individuals representing DOE, the contractors, and CAB members from around the complex is necessary. My time serving on the board was educational, interesting, and very helpful in understanding the complex world of nuclear waste cleanup. I truly appreciate having been given the opportunity.
