Agency Continues to Maximize Small Business Utilization to Support Missions

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is pleased to share the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Annual Report.  This report covers the Department’s successes in engaging small businesses to help advance DOE’s missions:

  • Small business and socio-economic contracting achievement - DOE awarded $7.68 billion to small businesses, improved its performance in all graded socio-economic categories, and earned a fifth consecutive “A” grade from the Small Business Administration. 
  • Initiatives and other important activities - Establishment of the Forecast Improvement Working Group to improve the quality and utility of the Agency’s acquisition forecast, the Quarterly Small Business Newsletter, and the revamped OSDBU website with new training videos and more resources.
  • Awards and special recognition - List of FY 2019 Small Business Award winners, top small business procurements, and other DOE small business accomplishments.
