AIKEN, S.C. (March 13, 2020) – Out of an abundance of caution, the U.S. Department of Energy is postponing all public tours of Environmental Management sites through the end of April. This includes the SRS public tours scheduled for March 26, April 16 and April 23. DOE understands the value of these public tours in helping to inform the public of the rich history these sites played in national security and nuclear energy research, along with the substantial progress that is continuing to be made in addressing the environmental legacy of those activities. DOE will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as appropriate.
