DOE ordered Eaton Corporation to pay a $2,500 civil penalty after Eaton had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the noncompliant Eaton model #0002FA66KFHA distribution transformers. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Eaton Corporation.
On August 22, 2019, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Eaton Corporation finding that the Eaton distribution transformer model #0002FA66KFHA does not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on DOE testing. Eaton provided DOE documents and records showing the number of units Eaton distributed.
