Preliminary Notice of Violation, National Technology and Engineering Solutions of

Related to high voltage and electrical shock events at the Sandia National Laboratories.

On August 6, 2019, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2019-01) to National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC (NTESS) for violations of the Department of Energy’s worker safety and health program requirements (10 C.F.R. 851) associated with three electrical safety-related events that occurred between April and June 2018 at the Sandia National Laboratories. Simultaneously, the Department of Energy’s Office of Enforcement issued Enforcement Letters to two NTESS contractors to express safety and health concerns related one of the events.
