Enforcement Letter, Marto Electric, LLC

Related to an electrical shock event and resulting fire at the Sandia National Laboratories.

On August 13, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement issued an Enforcement Letter (WEL-2019-02) to Marto Electric, LLC for noncompliances of DOE worker safety and health program requirements (10 C.F.R. Part 851) associated with an electrical arc event that occurred when personnel entered the minimum approach boundary of a 46-kilovolt energized electrical line with a digger-derrick truck at Sandia National Laboratories’ Coyote Test Field.
