AMO’s PowerAmerica Funds New Projects to Advance Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Technology in U.S.

AMO’s PowerAmerica Institute recently awarded funding to six projects to be led by new institute members that will advance wide bandgap semiconductor technologies in the United States. PowerAmerica also awarded $20 million in funding for 20 additional projects to be led by existing members.

RAPID Institute Hosts Ninth Webinar in Process Intensification Series — September 12

AMO’s Rapid Advancement in Process Intensification Deployment (RAPID) Manufacturing Institute will host its ninth webinar, part of a 10-part series, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. EDT titled “Process Intensification Principles: Time – Focus on Oscillatory Baffled Reactors.”

The webinar series focuses on the fundamentals and applications of Process Intensification (PI). This webinar series is led by world-renowned PI expert, Andrzej Stankiewicz, and each webinar will be presented by an expert in the field.

Cyclotron Road Informational Webinar — September 19

AMO’s Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program, Cyclotron Road, will host an informational webinar on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. PDT to discuss program details and the application process.

Utilizing DOE’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) facilities and expertise, Cyclotron Road is a two-year, entrepreneurial fellowship for postdoctoral researchers, scientists, and engineers. The program gives fellows the opportunity to leverage the facilities and capabilities at LBNL to help move their innovative ideas from the laboratory to the private sector.
