DOE ordered Danco, Inc. to pay a $9,410 civil penalty after finding Danco had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. at multiple units of showerhead basic models 80490 and 89077. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Danco.
On April 26, 2018, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Danco finding that certain showerhead basic models do not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on information in the file and Danco's admission of facts establishing violations. Danco was required to notify each person (or company) to whom Danco distributed the noncompliant products that the product does not meet Federal standards. In addition, Danco provided DOE documents and records showing the number of units Danco distributed and to whom.
