DOE found that Ice Air packaged terminal air conditioner model 8RSCT13 failed to comply with the energy conservation standards.

DOE ordered Ice Air, LLC to pay a $82,379 civil penalty after finding Ice Air had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of packaged terminal air conditioner model 8RSCT13, a noncompliant product. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Ice Air.
On March 27, 2017, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Ice Air, LLC. finding that packaged terminal air conditioner model 8RSCT13 does not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on DOE testing. Ice Air was required to notify each person (or company) to whom Ice Air distributed the noncompliant products that the product does not meet Federal standards. In addition, Ice Air provided DOE documents and records showing the number of units Ice Air distributed and to whom.
