The Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CESMII) Kick-off and Member Meeting will be held February 22-23, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA. This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders and members to meet partners from their national network, learn about the Institute’s goals and how stakeholders and members can participate. The meeting is intended to illustrate membership benefits; highlight the importance of regional centers to the uniqueness and the overall success of the Institute; and to acknowledge the role of Los Angeles and local resources as integral CESMII successes.

The deadline to register online for The Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy’s (ARPA-E) Energy Innovation Summit is Saturday, February 25, 2017.
On February 27, 2017–March 1, 2017, The ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit will bring together 2,200 participates to discuss cutting-edge energy issues and cultivate relationships with leaders from industry, government and academia to advance technologies towards deployment.

EVENT: Responding to Global Manufacturing Challenges: The Business Case for Manufacturing USA Institutes – March 1
The Senate Competitiveness Caucus and the House Manufacturing Caucus is hosting a joint briefing on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 3:30-5:00 PM EST to discuss the successes to date and potential of Manufacturing USA Institutes.
Invited speakers include companies investing in the Institutes, Institute leadership, and the author of a recent Deloitte study on the Institutes. The speakers will discuss the rationale for private investment, industry-wide benefits realized to date, and how the institutes are advancing these critical technologies and key industries.

AMO’s draft Multi-Year Program Plan (MYPP) sets forth the mission, goals, and plan of the Office. This MYPP is intended for use as an operational guide to help AMO manage and coordinate its activities, as well as a resource to help communicate its priorities and opportunities to stakeholders and the public by identifying the technology, outreach, and crosscutting activities the Office plans to focus on over the next five years.
Applications Open for the Composite Institute’s Internship Program – March 17
Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in cutting-edge manufacturing technologies are encouraged to apply for the Institute for Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) Internship Program.
The internship program offers students a chance to participate in a research experience with an assigned mentor at one of IACMI’s partner sites.
