DOE ordered Shandong Hongtai Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd. to pay a $284,280 civil penalty after finding Shandong Hongtai had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of noncompliant commercial freezer basic model TUC-27F. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Shandong Hongtai.
This Order does not apply to basic model TUC-27F manufactured by True Manufacturing Co., Inc.
