SEIA is pleased to submit these comments. We commend the Department’s leadership on this critical effort to reengage with power industry stakeholders especially in the wake of these unprecedented times. We would like to highlight here that we have provided the solar and storage industry perspective on a long-term strategy for securing our national grid system. We come with a unique and important perspective that considers not only security but the fundamental shift our power system will embark on as we achieve unprecedented decarbonization. We have given this RFI careful consideration and worked closely with our members to develop this response. We highlighted a number of areas that are critical to our industry’s future such as: stakeholder access and engagement, coordination between federal and state regulatory bodies to prevent patchwork regulatory regimes, the need for strong incentives for US solar and storage manufacturing and promoting a strong cyber workforce, and finding enhanced mechanisms to assist the power industry during these critical times. We look forward to the continued coordination and collaboration with DOE’s efforts to secure the power industry’s cyber and supply chains. Respectfully, Gizelle Wray
