W.A. Parish Post-Combustion CO₂ Capture and Sequestration Project, Fort Bend County, Texas

This EIS evaluates the potential impacts associated with DOE’s Proposed Action to provide financial assistance to NRG Energy, Inc. (NRG) and with NRG’s proposed W.A. Parish Post-Combustion CO2 Capture and Sequestration Project (Parish PCCS Project). DOE’s Proposed Action would provide $167 million in cost-shared financial assistance to NRG under the Clean Coal Power Initiative (CCPI) Program to support construction and operation of NRG’s Parish PCCS Project .
